This classic hike event is part of our own vibrant business community programme and everyone is welcome to join us for a day of hiking and networking in the great outdoors. Feel free to come alone – most Freshwalkers do – and you’ll be warmly welcomed or invite a colleague or client along for company.

Route description

An iconic route connecting the Hope Valley rail line with some fabulous White Peak walking culminating in the glorious Chatsworth Park. Our route leaves Grindleford station and climbs up to Froggatt Edge, passing the dramatic scenery of Curbar Edge and Baslow Edge. We then drop down into Chatsworth for an extended lunch break. You’ll have time to either head into a cafe or enjoy a communal picnic.

Thereafter, we’ll start our return journey back to Grindleford, following the River Derwent past the White Peak villages of Baslow and Calver. If time allows, we’ll squeeze in a brief pub stop on the way back too. We hope to return to Grindleford late afternoon, circa 16:30 where walkers are invited to enjoy the superb
