Drawing Ancient Trees in Haddon Medieval Park

April 19 @ 10:30 am 4:00 pm

Internationally-acclaimed artist Tansy Lee Moir hosts a very special art workshop drawing the beautiful veteran and ancient trees in Haddon Medieval Park. Find out how to read the stories written in their forms and enjoy learning to capture their unique shapes in charcoal, graphite and conté crayon as you walk, talk and draw in the parkland.

In this full day workshop, Tansy will demonstrate how she uses drawings to record not just the appearance, but the structure and energy of trees as living things. In the morning you will learn how to sketch quickly and confidently outdoors, gathering visual information to bring back to develop in our Tudor Stable Block Studio during the afternoon.

No experience is necessary – you will be supported and challenged to progress from where you are. All materials and equipment, including folding stools, will be provided.
