Derwent Edge And The Salt Cellar

Suitable for young and old alike who are up for the challenge of a steep climb to Derbyshire’s best picnic spot! A stunning walk over the moors to the iconic rock formations of Derwent Edge. Fabulous views of Derwent, Ladybower and beyond. And as a bonus we take in 2 ‘Ethels’. If these are your first, there are 93 more high points of the Peak District to visit. Ask your Ranger for details.

Event Grade: Moderate – moderate walks on ground with sometimes rough and uneven terrain and gradients.

Event Terrain: Mostly good paths but there is one long, steep climb.

Start: 10:00am  Finish: 3:15pm

Meeting Point: Fairholmes Visitor Centre, Derwent Lane, Bamford.

Cost: £10 per person aged 18 and above. Children aged 17 and below go free on any suitable event.
