Foraging at Fischer’s 2025

Accompany forager Sam for an enchanting morning of exploration in the Peak District, where you will uncover the exquisite flavours of the wild. Subsequently, return to Fischer’s for a meticulously curated two-course luncheon highlighting seasonal ingredients. The day will culminate in a private tour of the enchanting grounds and intriguing kitchen gardens, conducted by head gardener Kim Orwin.

Your day will begin at 9:00 AM at a dedicated location, where you will be welcomed with wild tea and homemade biscuits. After introductions, we will shift into the mindset of a forager before heading out to one of Derbyshire’s wild spaces. There, you will discover a vast array of wild edibles that surround us. Throughout the morning, you’ll uncover the abundant wild ingredients that lie just a stone’s throw from your dining table.

Return to Fischer’s at 1.00 pm for a 2-course lunch prepared by our Head Chef John Shuttleworth and hosted by our team with a menu inspired by your day, enjoying truly local, seasonal and fresh wild ingredients at their best. Finish your day with a tour around our prolific kitchen garden.
