This ancient custom is unique to Derbyshire and is the art of decorating springs and wells with pictures made from natural materials.

Wells in the Making: May 20 to 23, evenings in the Village Hall

There are 3 Wells-

1. Village Well Dressing on Chapel Street, opposite the Methodist Chapel

2. Primary School Well Dressing on the south side of The Square, facing the Bull’s Head pub

3. Infants’ Well in the garden of the Schoolhouse (follow the path to the left of the Well Dressing on The Square)
