Christmas at Chatsworth returns from 7 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, with this year’s decorations inspired by The 12 Days of Christmas. Visitors can explore the decorated house, follow an illuminated trail through the gardens and, until 13 December, visit the Chatsworth Christmas Market.

What to expect at Christmas at Chatsworth
The 2026 theme brings the familiar Christmas song to life through decorations, sculpture, animation and installations created by British and international artists and designers.
The State Apartments feature in the Christmas experience for the first time since 2020. Look out for interpretations of the song’s familiar characters, including birds inspired by Chatsworth’s historic Chinese wallpaper and paper sculptures by Yorkshire artist Andy Singleton.
Outside, a new light and sound trail winds through the gardens, taking in the Rock Garden, Maze and Broad Walk. It ends with an animated projection onto the house.
The garden trail takes approximately 45–60 minutes and is best enjoyed after dusk. Visitors should allow additional time to explore the decorated house.
