Peak Rail runs a Halloween version of its heritage train service on 31 October, with decorated carriages and children encouraged to travel in fancy dress.

Steam trains are scheduled to leave Rowsley South at 11am, 1pm and 3pm, travelling through Darley Dale to Matlock and back.

Adult rover tickets cost £15 and children under 16 travel free. Advance booking is not being offered for this event; passengers turn up and pay on the day.

Peak Rail is also running a separately ticketed Afternoon Scream Tea on the same date.
